CM Punk signs with Monday Night Raw and makes a big announcement.
On the December 11 episode of WWE Raw, CM Punk finally made his decision, as he elected to sign with the Raw brand over both SmackDown and NXT. Punk cited his history with Cleveland as one of the big decisions to sign with the Raw brand, as the 'Best In The World' walked out of WWE while the company was in town for a Raw show in January 2014. Punk also stated he's home on the Raw brand.

Once Punk made his choice official, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins made his way down to the ring. Rollins and Punk stared one another down before Rollins grabbed a microphone and told Punk to not call Raw his home, citing the fact that he abandoned the company in 2014. Rollins also talked about Punk's history of slandering WWE over the years before noting that he will do everything to protect WWE from Punk.
Rollins then blatantly stated that he hates Punk before noting that he's glad he's on Raw, due to the fact that he'll be able to slam the door on his legacy when he inevitably screws up once again and exposes himself.

Punk then grabbed a microphone and told Rollins that this was his once chance to speak about him in a disrespect manner without consequences. Punk proceeded to make a huge announcement, as he revealed that he'll be in the 2023 Men's Royal Rumble match.
