The January 19 episode of AEW Dynamite is beginning to take shape.
First, MJF continues to wage war against CM Punk by having his associates do his fighting for him. After Punk defeated Wardlow, it appeared as though MJF was finally willing to wrestle Punk, but instead, he announced that Shawn Spears would face Punk next Wednesday night.
Additionally, after coming to the aid of Adam Cole as he fought with Orange Cassidy, Britt Baker will team with her better half next week when they take on Orange and Kris Statlander. Also, Serena Deeb will face Skye Blue, Sting & Darby Allin will take on The Acclaimed, and Cody Rhodes will return after missing Battle of the Belts due to being in isolation after exposure to a family member with COVID-19.
