CM Punk Tells Fans Chanting 'Yes' On 8/25 AEW Dynamite To 'Be A Little More Patient'

CM Punk made his AEW Dynamite debut and he had plenty more to say.

Punk stood in the ring with Tony Schiavone on Dynamite and when asked what brought him back to wrestling, Punk said it was the young talent in the back. Punk put over his opponent at AEW All Out, Darby Allin, saying Darby would be his favorite wrestler if he were a kid.

Punk said he is no longer the "voice of the voiceless" because there are people in the back with a voice.

He said the question at All Out will be, "Does CM Punk still have it?" The crowd began chanting "YES! YES! YES!" and Punk replied, "That's somebody else's schtick and you might need to be a little more patient," teasing the arrival of Daniel Bryan.

Bryan reportedly signed with AEW in July and was planned to debut at Authur Ashe Stadium on September 22.

Punk ended the promo by giving a shoutout to his wife AJ Lee.

Punk made his official return to pro wrestling on the August 20 episode of AEW Rampage The First Dance. He is set to face Darby Allin in his first match since 2014 at AEW All Out on September 5.
