The July 8 episode of AEW Saturday Collision will feature three Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament bouts and a World Tag Team Championship Eliminator Match.
Both semi-final bouts for the men's Owen Hart Foundation Memorial Cup Tournament will take place in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, and both will see the reigniting of major wrestling rivalries.
Samoa Joe and CM Punk will have their first singles match in almost 20 years. CM Punk, of course, graduated to the semifinals of this tournament by defeating Satoshi Kojima at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023. On the other hand, Samoa Joe advanced in the tournament by defeating Roderick Strong on the July 1 episode of Collision.
On the other side of the bracket, Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs will look to turn back the clock about a year and revisit their rivalry. Hobbs made it to this point in the tournament by defeating Dustin Rhodes on July 1. Ricky Starks got to this point when he defeated Juice Robinson, also on July 1.
In women's tournament action, Athena and Willow Nightingale will look to channel the energy of their matches earlier this year in Ring of Honor as they meet in the tournament semi-finals.
In the only non-tournament match announced for July 8 thus far, FTR's Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler will face Bullet Club gold members Jay White & Juice Robinson in an Eliminator Match. If Bullet Club succeeds, they will get an AEW World Tag Team Championship opportunity.
