CMLL will crown new CMLL Women's World Tag Team Champions in March.
In December 2024, CMLL announced that the CMLL Women's World Tag Team Championship had been vacated due to the departure of Tessa Blanchard, who was one-half of the champions with Lluvia.
On the January 22nd episode of CMLL Informa, CMLL’s Julio César Rivera announced that CMLL will host two eliminators for the vacant CMLL Women's World Tag Team Championship at the March 7th and March 14th events. The tournament finals will be held at CMLL Homenaje a Dos Leyendas on March 21st. It was also announced that there will be international teams in the tournament.

CMLL previously vacated the CMLL Women's World Tag Team Championship on July 10 when Stephanie Vaquer left the company. Lluvia and Blanchard won the titles by defeating Persephone and Zeuxis at Martes De Arena Mexico on August 6th, 2024.
