Cody Hall Still Has Dreams Of Being At WrestleMania, Not Putting Expectations On Return

Cody Hall hasn't been active since 2020 when he wrestled for DDT Pro Wrestling, but he's recently returned to the ring for C3W.

Hall, the son of Scott Hall, has been active since 2012, largely making his name in Japan.

Speaking to MuscleManMalcolm, Hall discussed his hiatus and return to the ring.

"I just wanted to step away. There's a lot more to life. I love wrestling, but I have other passions too. Took a little break and came back. This is where I belong," he said.

When asked what he hopes to accomplish with his return, Hall said, "Just to have fun. I stepped away from wrestling because wrestling can be a hard life, but I missed it. There are good things about it and it is fun. It's good to be around the boys. I'm trying to get that back."

Being the son of Scott Hall comes with its own expectations and Cody isn't sure he will hit those marks.

"I guess it's pretty cool, but I would say it's kind of hard, the living in the shadow aspect thing," Cody said when asked about being the son of a WWE Hall of Famer. "The first thing you said was 'Son of Scott Hall,' it's never 'Cody Hall' and it's never going to be. I'm a big sensitive guy so it kind of bums me out sometimes. I don't do this just to not be as good as my dad, but that's always the case."

When asked if he has anything in mind that he really wants to do with this run, Hall said, "Of course, it crosses my mind, 'maybe I can get in shape, maybe I can get better, maybe now that I'm back in the states something can hit big for me.' I still have that dream of being a big star, being at WrestleMania or being somewhere. Once you taste it, it never really goes away, you're always chasing that rush. I'm not putting big expectations on it because that can lead to hurt feelings."

Hall briefly signed with MLW in 2020, but never made his debut for the promotion.
