Mike Tyson wanted to be a true pro wrestler for his AEW Double or Nothing appearance.
Tyson appeared at AEW Double or Nothing this past Saturday to present the TNT Championship to Cody, who defeated Lance Archer in the finals of the tournament. But even before Cody and Tyson shared a moment in the ring, they shared a more important moment backstage.
"He went above and beyond. His obligation was to present the TNT Title, but in true Mike Tyson fashion and shenanigan pro wrestling fashion, chased off Jake Roberts," Cody told Rich Eisen on the Rich Eisen. "I also shared a nice moment behind the scenes with Mike where he used a little of my baby oil to put on his chest and his arms. And I helped him rub it in. It was pretty surreal. But I wanted him to look as jacked as possible. That guy looks great!"
As you would expect, Eisen wanted to know more about Cody rubbing baby oil on Tyson.
Cody responded by saying, "He asked for the baby oil because I think he saw the other wrestlers putting on baby oil. So, I made sure he had it. Before we went out, he just kind of sprayed it on his chest and arms. You gotta get the classic Nature Boy Buddy Rogers where you rub that stuff in. I was able to assist in that moment. A real bond."
Cody also noted that Tyson used the Jaguars facility to train throughout the day and that he believes Tyson's team is close to making an announcement regarding his combat sports future.
Tyson is set to be part of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday.
