The Judgment Day put their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles on the line at Fastlane.
In the opening bout of the night, Finn Balor and Damian Priest faced off against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. The two former foes have had each other's backs ever since Rhodes brought Uso to Raw. The Judgment Day tried to add Jey to their ranks, but he declined their advances.
The match took a turn when, towards its conclusion, Rhea Ripley, Dirty Dom, and JD McDonagh came to ringside, giving Finn and Damian a 5-on-2 advantage. However, after JD inadvertently hit Priest in the knee with the Money in the Bank briefcase, Finn was left alone in the ring with Jey and Cody.
The challengers would then hit a combined Cody Cutter/1D, pinning Balor to win the match and the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles. This is Cody's first title victory since returning to WWE and the first time Jey has held the WWE Tag Titles with someone other than his brother Jimmy.
