Being The Elite started as a travel vlog with The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) and Kenny Omega in 2016 as they gave fans a glimpse of life on the road.
The series evolved into a creative outlet for The Elite and others as they pieced together sketches and created storylines that led to matches at the original All In and added depth to stories that have played out on AEW television.
Cody Rhodes was a fixture of Being The Elite once he linked up with the group in Ring of Honor, but began appearing less and less as AEW got underway and started on television in 2019.
Speaking to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Cody was asked why he stopped appearing on BTE.
"I don’t even remember. I think the workload for me was a problem. I was really proud of the Exorcism of Cody Rhodes and pretty much everything I had done on there, but I treated that the same way I treated SummerSlam. I was very committed, very all in, and with the job that I had and the other job I had, I think I fell out of the normal cast. Plus, the cast changed. I want to say my last appearance was the drone funeral. I loved that. I thought that was a good way to go out. You never know, that’s a show that’s everywhere. I could make a cameo, I could make a return. There is a lot of fun that was had there, for sure," he said.
Cody previously revealed that he was worried about Triple H seeing the "Exorcism of Cody Rhodes" bit on BTE once he returned to WWE.
BTE is still uploaded weekly on the official Being The Elite YouTube Channel.
