On the October 14 edition of WWE Raw, 'The American Nightmare' Cody Rhodes once again came face-to-face with Gunther. Rhodes started off his promo by talking about how this building (Enterprise Center) was home to the beginning of the #WeWantCody moment. Rhodes then asked fans what they wanted to talk about, prompting Gunther to come out.
Gunther said he has a lot of respect for Rhodes, mainly due to the fact that he's carrying WWE on his back. 'The Ring General' then mentioned Rhodes' issues with Kevin Owens over on SmackDown.
Rhodes fired back by telling Gunther that he hasn't even touched the bottom of the pool in WWE yet, mentioning that he hasn't beat him in a one-on-one affair. Rhodes piled on by also telling Gunther that he beat the most dominant champion in company history and took down a frightening beast.
Gunther proceeded to shake hands with Rhodes before walking out of the ring. Rhodes looked confused by Gunther's actions as the segment came to a close.
