Rhodes injury was very prominent during the match as the right side of his body was bruised up. In the end, Rhodes still managed to overcome Rollins, defeating him for a third time in singles competition.

After the match, Rhodes addressed the Chicago audience.

"I'm sure I'm gonna explain things a little further tomorrow, I'll be very brief. No one convinced me, with a torn pec, to come out here. It was solely my decision. You would have to literally kill me from staying away from this ring. Ten times out of ten, I would have made the same decision," he said.

Rhodes finished by saying that he didn't want to let fans down as they paid their money and thanked them for believing in him. "We're going to finish this thing," he stated.

Rhodes has not officially been announced for the June 6 episode of WWE Raw.
