Cope: I Don't Think Beth Phoenix Has Completely Closed The Door On Potentially Working With AEW

Cope says you never know, but Beth Phoenix is pretty busy.

Cope signed with AEW in October 2023. Since he joined the company, fans have buzzed about the possibility of his wife, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix, potentially coming to AEW as well. However, she has remained absent from wrestling since she left WWE in July 2024.

Speaking with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Cope was asked whether there was any chance that Beth Phoenix could appear in AEW at some point.

"You never know. I don’t think she has completely closed the door on it if the situation fits. I think where we were at, I think getting Willow [Nightingale] involved was good. Someone who was already on our roster, and I feel is just such a natural babyface and has such good energy. I thought she would be really cool to implement her into the story. Why not use someone who was already on the roster? Beth is also pretty busy. She has a pretty busy life, so it becomes more a family issue and how do we pull it off if we’re both outgoing," Cope said.

Cope previously commented on Phoenix potentially joining him in AEW. Check out his comments here.
