Corey Graves On Sasha Banks And Naomi Walking Out: I Don't Have Enough Facts To Talk About It

Monday's WWE Raw underwent major changes as the original six-pack challenge main event between Naomi, Sasha Banks, Doudrop, Nikki ASH, Becky Lynch, and Asuka was changed due to Banks and Naomi walking out.

During the broadcast, Corey Graves stated "Sasha Banks and Naomi summarily and unprofessionally walked out."

WWE issued a statement on the incident, echoing the sentiment and providing more information by saying, "During the broadcast, they walked into WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis’ office with their suitcases in hand, placed their tag team championship belts on his desk and walked out. They claimed they weren’t respected enough as tag team champions. And even though they had eight hours to rehearse and construct their match, they claimed they were uncomfortable in the ring with two of their opponents – even though they’d had matches with those individuals in the past with no consequence."

Speaking on WWE After The Bell, Graves gave further comments on the situation.

"Everybody is asking themselves this question, there is a particular set of circumstances that went down this past Monday at Raw. There is speculation and rumors all over the place. I was on the air when it went down, I only know the information that was provided to me and in the days since, while everybody continues to speculate, I don't have any more information. I don't know enough about the circumstance or the situation or which side did what. I'm just going to avoid it. I'll be perfectly honest and transparent with everybody. I would love to dive into this conversation because it set the internet on fire, everybody has an opinion endpoint of view, I don't know enough facts about what actually went down to speak on it with any confidence. All I know is what you guys know. I was getting updates throughout the show on Monday, as needed because we were doing a show. If there comes a point in point where it becomes something we know facts about, I will happily dive into that for our listener's pleasure. Until then, we're going to stick with what we know to be true," he said.

Graves' wife Carmella defended her husband's commentary, saying that, he was just doing his job.

Graves' fellow WWE Raw commentator Jimmy Smith detailed his experience on the air as things were happening backstage. You can find his full comments by clicking here.

Banks & Naomi have yet to publicly comment on the situation.
