'Cowboy' Bob Orton Says He 'Thinks' Doctors Have Told Randy Orton To Not Return To The Ring

"Cowboy" Bob Orton provides an update on his son.

Fans haven't seen Randy Orton in the ring since the May 20, 2022 episode of WWE SmackDown when he and Riddle lost to The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) in a WWE Tag Team Title unification match. Orton has been sidelined with a back injury since that time.

Speaking to Bill Apter of Wrestle Binge, Bob Orton, Randy's father, gave the following update.

"He's training. We'll see what happens. I don't know if he feels like going back or, when it feels like he's ready to go back, I think he might. Then again, he's pretty well taken care of, I don't think he needs to. I think the doctors have told him not to. Randy will do what Randy's going to do," said "Cowboy" Bob.

It is unknown if or when Randy will return to the ring.

Fightful Select reported in November 2022 that Randy underwent a fusion in his lower back.

Fightful will continue to update fans on the status of Randy as more is known.
