The first invitation for the Mae Young Classic 3 has been sent out.
Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens posted the following video of WWE’s Senior Director of Talent Development, Canyon Ceman, having a conversation with former NSG World Women's Champion and Croatian German star 'Wesna' about her future while she was participating in the WWE tryouts in Germany this past November. In the video, a fellow WWE employee offered Wesna a spot in the 2019 Mae Young Classic tournament to which Wesna became emotional about the opportunity that awaits her.

Wesna has been wrestling since 1998 and she is primarily based out of Germany. She has competed for SHIMMER, wXw, EWA, Pro Wrestling-Sun and Zero-1 Max in Japan and has traveled the world as a pro wrestler but her primary base has been Germany. She stepped away from the ring in 2010 due to injury and made her return in 2016 for the German Wrestling Federation.
Wesna has had matches with the likes of Ayesha Raymond, Jinny, Killer Kelly, Session Moth Martina, Saraya Knight and the current NXT UK Women's Champion Toni Storm. The 35-year old Wesna last wrestled in March for wXw according to Cagematch.net and the Mae Young Classic tournament regularly kicks off during the summer and according to the video, Wesna has been the first individual invited to compete in this year's tourney.
