CyberAgent Purchases Pro Wrestling NOAH

Pro Wrestling NOAH has a new owner as it was announced CyberAgent has purchased the company. CyberAgent already owns the Dramatic Dream Team (DDT) promotion.

At the press conference announcing the purchase, which you can view above, it was revealed DDT Pro's Sanshiro Takagi will be appointed as the new President and Naomichi Marufuji will be appointed as Vice President. Current NOAH President Akihiro Takeda will remain in the organization as an executive officer.

Takagi stated the Jan. 30 NOAH Korakuen Hall show will air live on DDT Universe. Abema TV will stream NOAH shows regularly, beginning in February. DDT and NOAH will run back-to-back shows at Sumo Hall in November.

In October 2019 it was reported by the Wrestling Observer that WWE had attempted to purchase NOAH, but the deal did not happen. WWE is reportedly trying to start NXT Japan and as part of the process, they have talked to multiple companies and attempted to buy some of those companies. No other company besides NOAH was mentioned in the report of companies WWE had talked to.
