Kato has not publicly commented on his release.

He signed with WWE in 2016 and began performing under the name Babatunde. He made his television debut in the WWE Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia.

He became Dabba-Kato as part of Raw Underground in 2020. He was repackaged as Commander Azeez at WrestleMania 37, aligning himself with Apollo Crews to help him win the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

After returning to NXT in June 2022 and being off television, he returned as Dabba-Kato at NXT Vengeance Day 2023, attacking Crews.

He never won a title in WWE, but he did rip a man's penis off in Raw Underground.

Fightful will provide more information on his release when it is known. Fans can find all releases made by WWE on September 21 by clicking here.
