Damian Priest Retains World Title At WWE Money In The Bank 2024, Remains A Member Of Judgment Day

Damian Priest remains the World Heavyweight Champion and a member of Judgment Day, but he didn't retain his title at WWE Money in the Bank in the way that he thought he would.

Damian Priest vowed to defeat Seth Rollins to retain his championship at WWE Money in the Bank. However, the match ended up being a Triple Threat, as Drew McIntyre chose to cash in the WWE Money in the Bank briefcase that he had won hours beforehand.

Thanks to CM Punk's interference, Priest was able to hit McIntyre with South of Heaven and retain his title. Priest did not look thrilled that he could not defend the title on his own, but he now had bigger things to worry about.

By virtue of his victory, Priest is now heading to Cleveland to defend his world heavyweight championship against WWE King of the Ring Gunther.

While Seth Rollins was not the target of CM Punk's aggression, he was a victim of it, and he was ready to rip CM Punk's head off after the match. Since Priest technically did not pin Rollins, it is unknown if Rollins can challenge for the championship as long as Priest holds the gold. Initially, it was said that he wouldn't hold the title if he lost, but he did not get pinned in the match.
