Raw Underground is back.
Damon Kemp and Eddy Thorpe have been locked in a heated rivalry in recent weeks, as Thorpe has picked up wins against Kemp in two singles matches. Kemp has been determined to get a victory of his own, and the two stars agreed to clash in a rematch.
On the June 20 episode of WWE NXT, Kemp named a Raw Underground match as his stipulation. He reminded Thorpe of the rules as he stated that they would compete in a 20x20 ring, and the match, which would be held in a ring without ropes, could only be won by knockout, TKO, or submission. Kemp made it clear that he had plenty of experience "training in the trenches."

Later in the show, Thorpe was seen watching footage of Raw Underground and said that he'll need to out together a fight camp. Gable Steveson then showed up and offered to help him prepare. After all, who would know Kemp better than his real-life brother.
Steveson is a two-time national champion at the University of Minnesota. He also won a gold medal at the 2020 Olympics in freestyle wrestling. He was drafted to WWE Raw in the 2021 WWE Draft after being signed in September 2021.

WWE introduced Raw Underground on WWE Raw during the ThunderDome era in August 2020. It was part of the show for a few weeks before it was abruptly dropped. Aleister Black, Dolph Ziggler, Babatunde (Commander Azees), Riddick Moss (Madcap Moss) and other stars competed.
