Daniel Garcia: AEW Is Where The Best In The World Choose To Be

On the October 8th episode of AEW Dynamite, Daniel Garcia announced he was staying in AEW.

His future was in question as he previously noted that he was in a "contract year" and was then off television following AEW All Out.

Speaking to Renee Paquette on Up Close, Garcia gave more insight into his decision to re-sign with AEW.

"I re-signed with AEW last week, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I'm 26 years old, and it's one of the biggest decisions I've had to make in my life. I think I made the right one," he said. "I wanted to let the fans know that AEW has a lot of momentum right now and the tag line, 'Where the best wrestle.' It's the truth. This is where the best in the world choose to be. (Kazuchika) Okada, (Will) Ospreay, Mercedes (Mone), me. All in one year. We're putting our flag in. This is where we want to be. We have choices to go everywhere. Obviously, these people have choices to do whatever they want to do in this business. We choose to be at AEW because we believe in it and because we think it's something that can improve wrestling for hopefully forever."

Garcia is currently aligned with Private Party (Zay & Quen) on AEW TV.

The trio are set to face Jack Perry and the Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite.
