Daniel Garcia is focused on the matter at hand.
Daniel Garcia has been featured on AEW programming throughout his time with the company, dating back to 2021. He had a remarkable run in the AEW Continental Classic, and he will challenge Christian Cage for the TNT Championship at AEW Revolution on March 3. In January, Garcia stated that his contract was up in 2024, and his goal was to earn another deal and win some gold.
Speaking on ROAR Around The Ring, Daniel Garcia was asked about his contract status.
“I’m gonna deal with it when I need to. I’m focusing on the subject at hand, and the subject at hand right now is the TNT Championship," Daniel Garcia said.
Garcia was then asked to describe where his match against Cage ranked importance-wise in his career. He stated that he feels like every match seems like the biggest one he has ever had. Garcia noted that each bout is an opportunity to prove himself, though he stated that he thinks he will look back on his match against Cage as a turning point.
“I feel like I’m at a point in my career where every match that I have feels like it’s the biggest match I’ve ever had in my life. Everything that I have feels like an opportunity to prove myself, it feels like an opportunity to step into my own greatness. I feel like everything that I do right now is vitally important to the rest of my career. So this is definitely up there as far as an overarching view of biggest matches of my career. I think this is one that I’ll look back on in 20 years and say, man, this was a big turning point for Danny Garcia," Garcia said.
