Darby Allin will be putting his title shot on the line at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam.
On the September 11 edition of AEW Dynamite, Darby Allin and Jon Moxley finally came face-to-face. Allin started off the promo by saying he has a lot to talk to Moxley about, bringing up the fact that he performs at a high level because he doesn't take anything for granted in wrestling. Allin then called Moxley his hero, saying that he wanted to be just like him. Allin also recalled gaining confidence after meeting Moxley for the first time at an independent show in 2019.
Allin went on to say that after All Out, he doesn't want to be anything like Moxley anymore. Moxley brushed off the statement by claiming he doesn't have time to explain. After claiming that his shot at Bryan Danielson and the AEW World Championship won't happen at Grand Slam, Moxley told Allin to give up his opportunity at the belt.
Allin fired back by calling Moxley stupid and asking him if he had been drinking again. After some more back and forth, Moxley agreed to earn it, challenging Allin for the title shot at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam. Allin ended the promo by saying that he will pull Moxley into the fire if he attempts to burn AEW to the ground.
