TNA Wrestling is replacing the Digital Media Championship with a brand new title.
Santino Marella had previously stated on the March 27 episode of TNA iMPACT! that he would have an announcement regarding the TNA Digital Media Championship. Steph De Lander has carried around the physical belt since her return to the company, as she and Mance Warner have declared themselves co-champions. However, that all appears to be coming to an end.
During the March 29 tapings of TNA iMPACT!, Santino Marella officially announced that TNA would be retiring the Digital Media Championship and replacing it with a new title, the TNA International Championship. A tournament, consisting entirely of Triple Threats, will occur during the April 17 TNA Unbreakable event on TNA Plus.
The TNA Digital Media Championship was first won by Jordynne Grace in 2021. The last recognized Champion was PCO, who smashed the championship belt in an unscripted moment at The People vs. GCW. Learn more about that here.
Fightful will provide more information on the tournament as more is made available.
Fightful has live coverage of TNA iMPACT! on AXS and TNA+ every Thursday. We also have a podcast that breaks down all the action after the show airs on our YouTube channel.
