Darby Allin is getting his big shot.
Allin technically didn't have an All Elite Wrestling victory to his credit prior to last week's TV tapings, but will get his opportunity after topping Jimmy Havoc on this Wednesday's Dynamite. Allin gained the opportunity by beating Cracker Barrel Clash winner Jimmy Havoc.
Allin went to a draw at June's AEW Fyter Fest against Cody Rhodes, and was the odd man out of the deciding pinfall during the Cacker Barrel Clash at All in, leaving him unbeaten in singles competition. On the first episode of AEW Dark, he'd emerge victorious against CIMA.
As a result, Allin gets a crack at Chris Jericho's AEW World Championship on the October 16 episode of AEW Dynamite. Jericho is already scheduled to defend his championship at Full Gear on November 9 against Cody Rhodes, but if Allin were to win, he'd subsequently replace Jericho.
Fightful will have full, live coverage of both AEW Dynamite and AEW Full Gear, including results and post-show podcasts.
