Dave Bautista opens up.
Dave Bautista is one of many former or current WWE superstars to have made the transition from the squared circle to the movie screen. Names such as John Cena, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson", Glenn "Kane" Jacobs and others have all been featured on the big screen in a number of movies. In 2017 Bautista starred in three movies; those being: 'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2', 'Bushwick' and 'Blade Runner 2049'.
A 'Guardians Of The Galaxy 3' is expected to release in the year 2020 but the movie might have to go on without Dave Bautista as he has made it clear that he will quit the movie series if the script that was written up by James Gunn is not used. In the midst of that news, the former 4-time World Heavyweight Champion sat down with 'talkSport' and during the interview Dave Bautista reflected on why he decided to depart from the WWE. It was not made clear if he was referring to his first departure from the company in 2010 or his second in 2014
“It came about out of spite." Bautista said. "First, I have to say it came from me discovering I was a horrible actor, and I wanted to be a better actor, and I wanted to do it while I was still with WWE--they would not give me the opportunity within the company. So I said, ‘I should be given the opportunity to do it outside of the company.’ They said, ‘Absolutely not.’ I said, ‘Well I’m going to let my contract run out, and I’m going to leave.’ So that’s exactly what I did, and I set out to be an actor. It was brave, and maybe a little stupid. It was three years of barely working and… it was a nice thing with the WWE--I made a good living there. I was very comfortable and I could’ve stuck with that but I was just… I wanted to do something else.” He explained.
