Major League Wrestling Superstar Davey Boy Smith Jr., has a wrestling pedigree the most would die for. The son of legendary British Bulldog, and the grandson of WWE Hall of Famer Stu Hart, professional wrestling is in the blood of the former WWE Tag Team Champion.
Recently, Davey Boy was a guest on the Total Slam podcast (embedded above) and discussed his future goals within MLW and any likelihood of him returning to WWE. The team from Total Slam passed along some highlights.
In regards to MLW, where he is currently paired with Teddy Hart and Brian Pillman Jr. as part of The Hart Foundation, Smith has his eyes set on the top and has proclaimed that he will become World Champion, "I would like to challenge for the MLW World Title against whoever holds the title. I would like to thank the fans for believing in me and the majority choosing me as the future MLW World Champion, I really appreciate that. I promise you once I procure the World Championship I won't let anybody down and I will be a fighting champion."
As far as a WWE return is concerned, Davey's family roots are still strong within that brand as Natalya continues her path as a veteran in the women’s division and Tyson Kidd, Davey's former tag team championship partner, currently works backstage as a producer. Davey said the following in regards to a potential return, "I think the door is open for me to return to WWE at some point, I'm not sure when that is. Right now, I am signed with MLW and they're really showcasing me good so before I come back to WWE at some point, I would like to do some great things in my career and build my name back up in North America before I come back."
Currently, MLW is on beIN Sports every Saturday Night with their FUSION TV series.
