Desmond Troy has been released by WWE.
Desmond Troy took to social media to announce his release from WWE on August 6.
Troy wrote, "Life is tough, but it’s about time I got some adversity to see what I’m made of. What a way to start the weekend. Thank you @TripleH and @WWENXT for the opportunity. There’s power in the name and with a name like Denzel Dejournette I can’t and won’t lose!"
Troy was signed by WWE in 2018, making his debut at a live event on October 27, 2018. He was a regular at live events and made appearances at EVOLVE. He worked a handful of enhancement matches during the pandemic era, including wrestling Seth Rollins and Sheamus.

He last wrestled on the July 2 episode of 205 Live, losing to Joe Gacy in an NXT Breakout Tournament Qualifying Match.
