Dirty Dom has captured gold on his own for the first time.
Dominik Mysterio single-handedly (aside from help from literally every other member of Judgment Day) defeated Wes Lee to earn the NXT North American Championship, his first-ever singles championship in WWE.
Mysterio won the title as Finn Balor distracted the referee and Damian Priest's first attempt at a physical attack was thwarted by Lee, who then went to the top rope only to get cracked in the head by Rhea Ripley and the Women's World Championship belt.
Now, Dom has become the second member of Judgment Day to win gold alongside "Mami" Rhea. Mysterio never had an actual run in NXT as he was called up immediately to the main roster during the summer of 2020.
Mustafa Ali was scheduled to face Wes Lee for the North American Championship but now appears to have a date with "Dirty" Dom.
