Drake Maverick Now Working As Part Of WWE's Creative Team

Drake Maverick is back in the fold with WWE.

On Wednesday, April 15, 2020, Drake Maverick was released by WWE for the first time. Drake then put an impassioned video on social media about what WWE means to him and was rehired as an NXT wrestler.

Drake Maverick was then released for a second time in November 2021. This time, your social media reaction seemed more at peace with his release. even John Cena complimented the video that Maverick put out the second time he was released.

Now, however, Drake Maverick is once again in the fold at WWE but this time, it is not to be a professional wrestler.

As first reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Fightful has confirmed that Drake Maverick is working as part of the WWE Creative Team.

As first reported by our premium service, Fightful Select, Fightful was told that Drake actually started on the WWE creative team even before his non-compete clause was up from his release. Maverick is said to have been well-liked across the multiple brands he's appeared on.

Drake was very successful as part of the WWE 24/7 Title Chase crew, even getting his real-life wife, Renee Michelle to appear in cameos on Monday Night Raw during his brief feud with R-Truth over the title.
