McIntyre does not have a preference.
Drew McIntyre picked up a number of wins on his road to WrestleMania 35 but that momentum came to a crossroads with former WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania and Reigns got the better of the exchange. The following Tuesday after WrestleMania, Drew McIntyre appeared on SmackDown Live and appeared to align himself with Sheamus and Cesaro to confront Xavier Woods, Big E and the WWE Champion Kofi Kingston.
"The Scottish Terminator" has been a heel since he arrived to the main roster but during this time in NXT, he was a babyface. Drew answered the question of does he prefer to be a heel or a babyface while speaking with WTOP and stated that he enjoys both and feels that he has the story that can fit ether frame.
"Bad guys have more fun. But I enjoy both; my story can work a couple of ways. It can be an inspiration that if you do work hard, you will achieve anything you want, and it can also be, 'Only I could do that.'" McIntyre explained.
