McIntyre is set to face CM Punk at WWE SummerSlam. Punk and Perry infamously got into a backstage altercation at AEW All In 2023 after Perry's match with HOOK where he looked into the camera and said, "Real glass, cry me a river."
The comment was a reference to Perry wanting to use glass in a segment and Punk discussing the matter with him.
On July 23rd, McIntyre referenced Colt Cabana in a social media post aimed at Punk.
