On Wednesday's NXT it was announced that Great American Bash will be coming to next Wednesday's episode of NXT.
The announcement was snuck in during the closing match between Keith Lee vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Finn Balor.
WWE owns the trademark to Great American Bash, which was an idea brought to life by Dusty Rhodes in 1985. Rhodes headlined the first three Great American Bash events and worked with NXT and the WWE Performance Center before his passing in 2015.
Following the announcement, Teil Margaret (Dusty's daughter) took to social media to comment on WWE using the name.

Cody has often expressed interest in acquiring the Great American Bash trademark from WWE. He has filed trademarks on old WCW names such as Bash at the Beach and Slamboree, but he said in an interview on AEW Unrestricted that he would give up 100 Slamboree trademarks for the trademarks to Starrcade and Great American Bash.
