The statement notes that Kingston underwent medical tests on Sunday morning.

Eddie Kingston contacted us late last night. Due to an injury to his shoulder in his match with CM Punk last night at the AEW PPV, he will be unable to appear at Big Event NY Convention today. He is having his shoulder checked out and having a series of medical tests this morning.

If you preordered any of his meet and greet items you will be refunded later today.

Sorry for the inconvenience

Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports "there was no specific injury occurring from the actual match but that is more of a case of Kingston being banged up from a cumulation of different issues."

Kingston has not commented on any potential injury and there is no confirmation on the severity of the injury. His right shoulder was heavily taped at AEW Full Gear, where he lost to CM Punk in a hard-hitting affair.

According to PWInsider, Malakai Black also missed The Big Event NY due to injury, but no further update was given. Black teamed with Andrade El Idolo in a loss to Cody Rhodes & PAC at AEW Full Gear.

Fightful will update fans on the statuses of both men as more is known.
