For the majority of his AEW run, Eddie Kingston has been linked to Jon Moxley.
The two battled over the AEW Championship, headlining AEW Full Gear in an I Quit match and have since become tag team partners.
During a Q&A session on Ad Free Shows, Kingston was asked when the idea of them teaming came together.
"Me and Mox talked about this as soon as I got there. I owe a lot of my AEW career to Mox because he believed in me and he's always believed in me. I was always that guy who is like, 'Ahhh, get out of here.' Mox always believed in me and saw the match with Cody. Even before the match with Cody, he was trying to amp me up. This was the whole plan from, maybe not the get-go because plans change, but I owe Mox a lot. The stuff with me and Mox is on the fly because that's how we are normally. We argue all the time," he said.
Kingston compared their partnership and dynamic to Abbott and Costello.
Moxley & Kingston are set to challenge for the AEW Tag Team Titles against The Young Bucks on Sunday at AEW Double or Nothing. You can view the current lineup for the card by clicking here. Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Dynamite beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET.
