El Phantasmo is going to AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
On the June 28 episode of AEW Rampage, NJPW's El Phantasmo faced AR Fox in a qualifying bout for the TNT Championship Ladder Match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. They traded some fast-paced offense early on, and the contest was evenly matched. Phantasmo took control with a springboard moonsault. Fox caught Phantasmo with a kick and slammed him with a suplex. He then got a near fall with a 450 Splash. Phantasmo rallied and blasted Fox with a superkick before he slammed him for the win.

With the win, Phantasmo joined Konosuke Takeshita, Mark Briscoe, Jack Perry, Dante Martin, and Lio Rush in the Ladder Match.
Phantasmo is a three-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion and former IWGP Tag Team Champion, among other accolades.
AEW previously vacated the TNT Championship after reigning champion Adam Copeland suffered a fractured tibia at AEW Double or Nothing, where he beat Malakai Black in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match.
Fightful will have coverage of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door as it airs on June 30.
