Enzo Amore wishes Big Cass would have finished the match.
When Enzo Amore and Big Cass broke up as a tag team, their feud ended with a Brooklyn Street fight. During the match, Big Cass injured his ACL which ended up keeping him out of the ring for months. In an interview with the Store Horsemen podcast, Enzo Amore said he was upset the street fight ended after Big Cass was hurt and Amore felt like Big Cass should have been able to finish the segment.
"Triple H tore his quad and sat in a sharpshooter. Stone Cold took a piledriver and was paralyzed...the ugliest school boy in the history of the business. I've been picked up and thrown down the ramp...have a sciatica issue," said Enzo. “Then we get backstage and you know people talk. If I’m Vince McMahon, am I going to invest? You have WrestleMania, main event. We expect you to go out there and have a half hour to forty-five minute match and you tear your ACL in the first five minutes. They have to know you're going to stick it out," he continued.
Amore was mostly upset because he thought him attacking Big Cass with the chair was going to be "the pay off" and the crowd was going "ape shit." He went on to say he told Big Cass he could not forgive him for quitting the match and in some ways he still feels that way today. He admitted he texted Big Cass on Christmas to say he hopes he recovers and returns to do big things in wrestling.
