Eric Bischoff: Court Bauer And His Team Allow Me To Have Influence Over What I Do In MLW

Eric Bischoff comments on how working with MLW allows him to enjoy the fun parts of his time in wrestling without any of the headaches.

MLW worked with Eric Bischoff for their December 2024 MLW One Shot event, and now, Bischoff is returning to be part of MLW SuperFight 6 in Atlanta, Georgia on February 8. No stranger to the Atlanta wrestling scene, Eric Bischoff spoke to 11Alive about his experiences running WCW, which was based out of Atlanta, and what he enjoys about MLW.

Addressing the positives of working with MLW, Eric Bischoff put over the fact that the roster is still having fun, which helps create the magic in the ring. Furthermore, he says Court Bauer has given him influence over his segments, and even allows him to dip his toe into the think tank for the talent on the rest of the show.

"The thing I like about working with Court Bauer is he worked in the creative side of WWE for a while. He understands storytelling. He understands character development. That's that's kind of like the sweet spot for me. That's what I'm most interested in," said Bischoff. "Court and his team are allowing me to have some influence in terms of what I do, the segments I'm in, how I position myself in those segments, maybe even having some influence and suggestions for some of the other things on the show that gives me the ability to kind of put my creative toe in the water and get that, 'Oh, this is what it was like back then! Oh, I had fun doing it then I'm having fun doing it now,' without having to deal with all the ugly stuff that sometimes comes with the wrestling business. 'I need more money. I'm not going out unless you pay me.' I don't have to deal with any of that. I just get to do the fun stuff."
