It's been announced that two former TNA World Champions will team up at TNA Genesis.
On the January 16 episode of TNA iMPACT!, it was announced that Eric Young and Steve Maclin would team up to face former TNA World Tag Team Champions Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers of The System. Maclin and Young's vendetta against The System escalated after JDC, Myers, and Edwards took out Jonathan Gresham on the January 9 episode.
Myers and Edwards confronted Maclin and Young after they defeated KC Navarro and AJ Francis on January 16.

It was also announced that Busted Open Radio would host the countdown show ahead of Genesis.
