Eric Young Reminisces On Working With Scott Hall And Kevin Nash In TNA

Eric Young has great things to say about the late Scott Hall.

Young has spent the vast majority of his 24 year career in TNA/Impact Wrestling. Whether it was having multiple reigns with any number of championships or being involved in a vast number of stables, the World Class Maniac has made the most of his two tenures with the promotion.

Back in 2010, TNA was bringing a bunch of new people into the company. Scott Hall, who had previously wrestled for the company in 2004-2005, made a return in 2010 and formed the 'Band' stable with Kevin Nash and Syxx-Pac (X-Pac). After feuding with Eric Young for a few months, the group ended up welcoming him into the group. Although the group would last all of three months, Eric Young looks back upon the time fondly.

While speaking to SportsKeeda for a recent interview, Young reminisced about his time in the 'Band'.

"I mean for me, like growing up.. Razor Ramon was a huge part of me being addicted to wrestling. That was a very informative time for me when he was kind of coming into his own. [He’s] just a one-of-one performer. There will never be a person like him. He just had this thing where he could walk in any room and [get a reaction of] ‘Oh, he’s somebody.’ Working with him was like this weird dream come true for me. Him, Kevin [Nash] and Sean [Waltman] are guys that I idolized. You just never know." Young said. "Just years ago, [I was lucky] to be so affiliated with them, being in the band together with them. Those guys have earned everything they got and they’re not [going to] do anything they don’t want to. They get to pick and choose. They said ‘We’ll do this group and be on TV together, but that guy has gotta be in it too.’ I was that guy. I got to carry the load and do all of the hard work but I wouldn’t change a thing. [Hall] treated me great. [He’s] a complete icon of the sport. He had his demons, but he always treated me with respect. I learned so much working with him and [Kevin Nash]."

Although that stable didn't turn out to be successfully, Young currently leads Violent By Design in Impact Wrestling -- a group that also features Deaner and Joe Doering.
