Erik won't be wrestling for some time.
The former Raw Tag Team Champion revealed on Twitter that he had surgery to remove a surgical screw protruding into his triceps. Erik said it's a surgery that he has been putting off for some time and was simply working through the pain.
Today I had hardware removed from my cyborg arm. I’ve been putting off this surgery for a long time and just worked thru the pain and limitations caused by a surgical screw protruding into my triceps.

Thanks to the wonderful Dr Dugas, I’m excited to come back at full strength. pic.twitter.com/9iwOr8jZKE
His tag team partner Ivar is also on the injury shelf after he suffered an injury on the September 7 episode of WWE Raw after performing a suicide dive to the outside during a match. Ivar immediately knew something was wrong, throwing up the "X" sign for himself as the camera cut away. An audible was called for the finish and the camera did show medical staff attending to Ivar after the eight-man tag.
It is unknown how long both Erik and Ivar are going to be out for.
