NJPW announced a pair of title matches as well as the creation of a unique title.
In a special press conference, NJPW announced that EVIL will defend the IWGP Heavyweight & Intercontinental Titles against Tetsuya Naito at Summer Struggle in Jingu on August 29. The match is a rematch from Dominion a couple of weeks ago in which EVIL beat Naito to become the second person in NJPW history to hold both titles at the same time.
In addition, NJPW announced that IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi, who unsuccessfully challenged for EVIL's two belts at Sengoku Lord, will defend his title against Taiji Ishimori. The match was made official the day after Ishimori officially issued a challenge to Takahashi's belt.
