Billie Starkz has already obtained a wealth of experience at the age of 18, working across the United States at various independent promotions and traveling to Japan.
Starkz has even found herself on television, wrestling for All Elite Wrestling on AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation. Starkz has competed in five AEW bouts, including a match against former AEW Women's Champion Britt Baker.
Speaking to Fightful, Starkz reflected on her experience at the AEW Dark tapings in Orlando and traveling for AEW Dark: Elevation.
"Pretty amazing," she said about the experience in AEW. "I love the group of girls they have at AEW. I've had an amazing time in the ring. I also got the experience of wrestling Britt Baker facing Yuka (Sakazaki) again, which was amazing, and then to do it in my home versus Japan was a great experience to have."
Starkz challenged Sakazaki in November 2022 for the Princess Of Princess Title in Tokyo Joshi Pro. The two had a rematch on the February 6 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation.
Asked if she had received any feedback from those in AEW, Starkz replied, "Everybody is so supportive and they would come and give me feedback after the matches, things I can work on, things I can improve. Tony (Khan) has randomly popped up here and there, and he's honestly the most awkward but nice human being you'll ever meet. I'm like, 'oh my God, I can relate to this man even though he's running around,' I'm like, 'Do you need help, what's going on?' [laughs]."
In her bout against Baker, which aired on the January 24 episode of AEW Dark, Baker suffered a busted nose, creating another viral "Bloody Britt Baker" moment. The match continued and finished with Baker picking up the victory.
Starkz said about busting Britt open, "Honestly, I was a little freaked out in the match when it happened because I didn't know, 'She's bleeding, are they going to cut the match, do we have to go home now? Do we have to get out the ring? What do I do?' As soon as I saw blood, I was like, 'Oh no.' As soon as I knew things were good, I kept going and things were fine. As soon as we got to the back, she made it to the back before I did, and I'm looking for her to say sorry, but she's already smiling and taking pictures. I was like, 'I guess that means she's fine.' She comes running back up and was like, 'I'm good, thank you, good match.' 'Oh okay. Is your nose good?' 'Oh, it's just fragile, it was probably my fault.' 'Oh, okay, I guess this fine.'"
Starkz has been called back for AEW Dark tapings in Orlando and has gone on the road for AEW Dark: Elevation matches.
