Another name set to debut in the titular match was former WWE United States Champion Baron Corbin, now competing under Bishop Dyer. Asked about the impending debut of the man who retired Kurt Angle, Greene says he's hopeful that Dyer will become a mainstay in Major League Wrestling just as he hopes to do.

"That announcement is awesome. You saw what he’s already done on the independents. He’s already done stuff in Canada. The guy made his independent wrestling debut at Hammerstein Ballroom. That’s pretty cool. I hope, if it works out for him, he can become a regular for MLW," Greene said.
