Cole Radrick has filled many roles in GCW, from opening the show in scramble matches to closing the show in deathmatches.
Radrick, the reigning GCW Extreme Champion, closed GCW Sanctified in a GCW Extreme Title deathmatch against Colby Corino and came back one night later for a hard-hitting affair against Brett Ison at GCW Hope 2 Die.
Speaking to Fightful's Stephen Jensen, Radrick was asked what it means to him to be trusted to headline GCW events.
"It's pretty fucking cool. It's also one of those things where it's like, sweet, they trust me in this spot to rise up to the occasion and send the fans home happy with a show they are proud of. The last impression can kill the show or make the show and I don't want to be that guy that goes out there and sucks," he said.
Ison recently returned to wrestling in May 2022 after taking a hiatus following end of 2021. Ison is one of the top names on the southeast independent scene and Radrick knew the kind of fight he was in for.
"Brett Ison is fucking awesome. He's one of the guys who is prominent in the southeast because he's a fucking guy. He's the guy down there. He's the guy at SUP [Southern Underground Pro], the guy at Action. You know when you're wrestling Brett Ison you're in a fistfight. It's what you're signing up for," he said.
Radrick was victorious on both nights of GCW events, successfully defending his GCW Extreme Championship.
