Cora Jade is proud of her work with Natalya.
The amount of integration between WWE Raw, SmackDown, and NXT has been growing over the months. Most recently, on the October 18 episode of NXT, many main roster stars competed and/or showed up on the show in one capacity or the other.
Back in May, Cora Jade got the opportunity to work with Natalya on two separate occasions. First, Jade and Natalya were on two opposite teams in a tag bout that also involved Lash Legend and Nikkita Lyons. The following week, Jade got to wrestle Natalya in a singles bout.
In a new exclusive interview with Fightful, Jade discussed the experience in length.
"It’s crazy, especially because Natalya was the very first women’s wrestler that I decided was my favorite. I loved the pink and black hair and her look. She was my favorite at the time, this was before AJ Lee came. My first initial female role model was Natalya. That was a real story when I went to a house show, and she pointed to me in the crowd, and I thought it was the coolest thing in the world. To be able to work with her is, to this day, my favorite match I’ve ever had. It was so much fun. Obviously, to be able to work with someone I looked up to, but I think I grew so much as a wrestler and performer. Not only in the ring, but hearing her brain and how she thinks about things and why you do things."
Most recently, Jade also got to work with another main roster star in Raquel Rodriguez. The two also worked together on numerous occasions with Rodriguez was a part of the NXT brand.
Elsewhere in the interview, Jade revealed that she is the one who pitched her famous jump off the WarGames cage back in 2021. To learn more about that, click here.
