Damien Corvin reflects on the painful experience of wrestling Big Damo.
The two Northern Irish wrestlers have met in singles competition just twice, with Damo pulling out the victory twice over the King's Of The North member. That being said, Corvin still wants to get a victory over the big man.
While speaking to Fightful's Corey Brennan in a recent interview, Corvin reflected on his previous matches with Damo, and if he would like to beat Damo with a title on the line.
"I mean like Damo is one of the measuring sticks for for this country you know whether we're on the same page or not he's, one of the measuring sticks for this country. The first match, I kind of took it too friendly, I was too nice, and it bit me in the ass and I got crushed six or seven times for like £300 so that wasn't pleasant. The second match, he was pissed at me. So he battered me a good bit and I kind of took myself out of that match with the table. So, yeah, I'd like to beat him. I kind of need to figure out how to do it first, if I'm honest. He's big and he's strong and he's experienced and he hits hard, and if he lands on you, it hurts like hell. So I wouldn't mind, but I wouldn't mind beating him with a championship on the line. I wouldn't mind it meaning just a little bit more. Big Belfast marquee match would be great. So maybe to take that world title from Trent first and then I can beat them all."
Damo recently challenged for the NLW Championship at OTT Gaff Party Belfast, but was unsuccessful.
Elsewhere in the same interview with Fightful, Corvin discussed his recent bulk to heavyweight. You can read more about that here.
