Exclusive: Backstage News About Mandy Rose Call-Up; Two NXT Names At Smackdown

Monday Night Raw saw the debut of two NXT names, as well as the return of former Divas Champion Paige, helping add depth to the women's division.

Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville both were given surprise debuts alongside Paige on the November 20 episode of Raw. Mandy has barely appeared on NXT programming, while Sonya Deville performed against Ruby Riot before NXT Takeover: WarGames, which airs on this week's episode.

Fightful has learned that keeping Mandy Rose off of NXT TV was a conscious decision made a while back, and the internal plan had been to debut her on WWE main roster TV without an extended run on NXT. You may remember that Mandy Rose also has television exposure on both Tough Enough and Total Divas, and did work a couple of NXT tapings.

Rose has received high praise by those within WWE, particularly coach Matt Bloom. She and Deville have roughly the same number of matches as Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax when they were brought up to the WWE main roster.

Ruby Riot and Liv Morgan are backstage at WWE Smackdown, and were at Monday's Raw in Houston as well. No debuts have been confirmed, and NXT doesn't film again until November 29.
