EXCLUSIVE: Matt Riddle Talks Indy Protocol When Meeting WWE Execs

Matt Riddle would not change his demeanor if he met Vince McMahon.

Last week, Riddle recalled a story about meeting Triple H where he repeated the things Triple H said back to him. Riddle said this week on the Fightful Wrestling podcast he would have no problem doing the same thing to Vince McMahon. He explained he would do it because how big of a deal people make of the presence of Triple H, Vince McMahon, or any important person in wrestling.

"Every time those big time people are ever in a building, you are told not to talk to them or go up to them or confront them or speak to them unless they speak to you," said Riddle. "I'm not the kind of guy that likes to crowd people anyway, because that's not my business," continued Riddle.

William Regal is someone, with which Riddle has had conversations. He shared how he views his few meetings with the NXT General Manager.

"I wouldn't say we have a relationship, I have never called him, he's never called me. We don't text back and forth, but every time we've seen each other in person we chat and talk and we say positive things," said Riddle. "Every time I have a match,if he's there I go to him and see what he says. I remember the last time I asked him he goes ''that match, any where in the world would have got a crazy reaction, you guys did wonderful'. I think William Regal likes the way I work,"  he added later.

This week's podcast was the monthly mailbag episode of Fightful's Brocast. Riddle answered questions about fighting mythical creatures and his opinion on Raw and Smackdown.

Fightful's Brocast with Sean Ross Sapp and Matt Riddle airs live on Thursday afternoons for members. Registering for Fightful.com is free and gives immediate access to podcasts. The show is now open to non-members at this link.
