In 2017 during the NJPW G1 Special, current NXT superstar Ricochet made an appearance on the show as he was once set to compete on it. Ricochet got in the ring and picked up a microphone and stated that because of a "certain company's" contract restrictions he was not allowed to compete at the 2017 G1 Special. The company that he was referring to was Lucha Underground as Richocet was playing the character of "Prince Puma" on the show. Ricochet was still being featured on episodes of Lucha Underground at the time which is why he was prevented from working the G1 Special.

Since then Lucha Underground has become less strict with their talents as exampled by John Hennigan who worked IMPACT Wrestling's TV tapings and is featured on the current season of Lucha Underground. Sami Callihan is doing the same, as well as Thunder Rosa who goes by "Kobra Moon" on Lucha Underground and was able to compete for Ring Of Honor during the company's tour of Texas. Thunder Rosa was recently interviewed by Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp and during the interview, Thunder Rosa shared that L.U. has loosened up in terms of letting their talents work for other promotions while the L.U. season is on-going.

“Yeah, because that’s the reason why they [Ring Of Honor] didn't approach me because the contract was really strict, but now our contract allows us to work in different places on TV except the big, big companies." Rosa explained. "But that’s the reason why I was able to do it and hopefully I’m allowed to do it a lot more when they’re around when the the opportunity comes”.

Thunder Rosa will be in action on August 18th at Reality Of Wrestling's 'Ladies Night Out 3'. For more information on that event, head over to 'RealityOfWrestling.com'. It will be streamed on TitleMatchNetwork.com
