The Good Brothers, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, sit down once again with Fightful and talk about everything from COVID and why Karl Anderson loved it, their current contractual situation, social media etiquette, and more. “How many sound bites are you gonna get from this one? We always get in trouble when we do your interviews. ”
LUKE GALLOWS:
“We’ll say some stuff that’s gonna get us some industry wide heat, I’m sure. ”
FIGHTFUL:
“Or you could say about 1.2 million things. ”
LUKE GALLOWS:
“We could say 1.2 million reasons why we’re gonna get heat during this interview because that’s what we ask for. ”
KARL ANDERSON:
“There’s 1.2 million reasons why we’re not going to SummerSlam tonight. ”
LUKE GALLOWS:
“The World Wrestling Federation. ”
FIGHTFUL:
“Is that 1.2 million yen? ”
KARL ANDERSON:
“Sean hasn’t even asked us questions yet. ”
LUKE GALLOWS:
“It’s actually 2.4 if you add them together. ”
FIGHTFUL:
“Okay. ”
KARL ANDERSON:
“That was not combined. That’s a solo act ”
LUKE GALLOWS:
“So anyway, we’re gonna be here for a little bit. ”
FIGHTFUL:
“You’re gonna be here. I heard that you guys, your deals were supposed to be up in late July. You still got the title belts, so obviously, something’s working out here. ”
KARL ANDERSON:
“It’s like that summer when Punk beat Cena and ran off, but he came back next week. Is that what happened? ”
FIGHTFUL:
“Yes. They waited a week. They even put the title on Mysterio in that time and John Cena. ”
KARL ANDERSON: “Is that what happened? ”
FIGHTFUL:
“Yeah, they—”
LUKE GALLOWS: “I don’t know. […]”
FIGHTFUL:
“You don’t know? You teamed with the guy! ”
LUKE GALLOWS: “Was I there? ”
FIGHTFUL:
“Yeah, you were there. I think. It was right after. ”
LUKE GALLOWS:
“Oh, I remember that. That was a great time in my life right after. ”
FIGHTFUL:
“It’d be something if he didn’t remember you. ”
LUKE GALLOWS:
“I was working a lot of southern indies at the time. ”
KARL ANDERSON:
“Big south Gallows pop. ”
LUKE GALLOWS:
“Big over brother in south pop, Sean. ”
FIGHTFUL:
“Yeah, Punk won the title, went away, and the next week they were like, ‘Oh, we’re putting it on Rey and Cena the same night,’ and then Punk came back like, ‘Hey, I’ve still got this belt.”
KARL ANDERSON:
“This is the summer of the Good Brothers. We won the titles and then where are we going? Will we be back on IMPACT the next week or not? ”
FIGHTFUL:
“Lucha Underground. ”
KARL ANDERSON:
“Or take ‘em to SummerSlam tonight. ”
LUKE GALLOWS:
“Listen, this is an exclusive, Scott D’Amore told me that on AXS TV, I can only do one, two swings now because the third swing—”
FIGHTFUL:
“Standards and practices. ”
LUKE GALLOWS:
“—is the [eku] and the [eku] is the climax in Japanese language. ”
FIGHTFUL:
“Okay. ”
LUKE GALLOWS:
“So you’re not allowed to do that on television. ”
KARL ANDERSON:
“Strong possibility of going to SummerSlam tonight. ”
FIGHTFUL:
“If you think I’m putting this interview out before SummerSlam, you are—c’mon. ”
LUKE GALLOWS:
“You’re gonna sit on this for three months until we do something cool again. ”
FIGHTFUL:
“Yeah. ”
KARL ANDERSON:
“Might have to give Gallows a breathalyzer before he comes out of that stage though, you know? ”
LUKE GALLOWS:
“I’m not wrestling. Today I can do anything I want. ”
FIGHTFUL:
“I’m gonna wait until he posts ‘Fuck WWE’ on Twitter or something and then I’m gonna release this. ”
KARL ANDERSON: “Little ol’ me? Sometimes you go through things. You gotta grow up a little bit, you know? ”
LUKE GALLOWS:
“Sometimes he’s a first responder and not in the way we love our first responders. He’s a first responder on social media. ”
KARL ANDERSON:
“They did fire me in the middle of a pandemic. I was struggling, you know? ”
LUKE GALLOWS:
“You’re still rich. ”
KARL ANDERSON:
“I know. ”
LUKE GALLOWS:
“It’s why I don’t come to these. ”
KARL ANDERSON:
“It’s been a great couple of years though. These last two years have been my most fun times ever in professional wrestling. ”
FIGHTFUL:
“I mean, you’re in Florida now. ”
KARL ANDERSON: “I’m in Florida now, yeah. IMPACT, the AEW COVID days were my favorite times. ”
FIGHTFUL:
“You enjoyed COVID, did you? ”
KARL ANDERSON:
“I loved it. ”

LUKE GALLOWS:
